Maryneal Chemical Building – Maryneal, TX

Located at the heart of the Buzzi Unicem USA Maryneal plant site in Nolan County, Texas, the Maryneal Chemical Building supports one of the most advanced cement production facilities in the company’s portfolio. Designed to support modern chemical handling, storage and processing operations for the cement manufacturing process, the building ensures safe, efficient, and environmentally-responsible operation in a heavy industrial context.

The facility integrates high-spec chemical containment systems, redundant safety features, and streamlined logistics for raw material and additive handling — enabling the broader plant to maintain its high throughput and quality standards. With the Maryneal plant itself achieving a specific heat consumption of just 3.2 Mbtu per ton of clinker and energy consumption near 107 kW per ton, the chemical building plays a key supporting role in operational efficiency and sustainability.

Beyond its core process function, the project also embodies strong environmental stewardship. The Maryneal plant was recognised with an Outreach Award by the Portland Cement Association for its community-engagement and environmental performance efforts.

With the chemical building ensuring stable, safe operation of key process streams, the site continues to support regional industrial demand while maintaining rigorous safety and environmental performance standards.
