Maryneal Clinker Cooler Building
Maryneal Clinker Cooler Building – Webster County, TX
The Maryneal Clinker Cooler Building represents a high-efficiency enhancement to the cement production operations of Buzzi Unicem USA. As part of the Maryneal plant’s modernization, this facility achieves a specific heat consumption of just 3.2 Mbtu per ton of clinker, while meeting or exceeding the most stringent environmental standards.
Designed to optimise energy recovery and process performance, the cooler captures a significant portion of the waste heat from red-hot clinker discharge and converts it into reusable secondary air for the kiln system — supporting the plant’s overall thermal efficiency of 107 kW per ton of output.
The project also integrates robust environmental controls: multiple baghouse systems vent through combined exhaust stacks, ensuring compliance with air-emission regulations and safeguarding ambient air quality.
With its advanced heat-recovery architecture, high operational efficiency and environmental stewardship, the Maryneal Clinker Cooler Building stands as a benchmark for sustainable infrastructure in heavy-industry applications.
